A gentle memory companion

The people they love, always close to hand.

JustAsk holds the memories your family adds — visits, plans, cherished moments — so your loved one can simply ask, out loud, as often as they like, and hear them back warmly.

Private to your family · No app for them to learn · They just talk to it

How it works

Three simple parts, one quiet loop

Family do the remembering. Your loved one does the asking. The companion gently holds it all together.

1

Family add memories

Anyone you trust opens a link on their phone, enters their own short PIN, and writes or speaks a memory — tagging who was there. No account, no fuss.

2

The companion remembers

Everything is saved privately to your loved one's memory. Connect a family calendar too, so it knows what's coming up this week.

3

They just ask

On a screen by their chair, they ask out loud — "What did I do this week?" — and hear a warm, simple answer, in your family's own words, every single time.

Built around the whole family

Everyone has a gentle part to play

JustAsk fits how your family already cares — one person sets it up, everyone helps fill it with love, and your loved one simply talks to it.

Your loved one

Asks the companion anything, by voice or a tap. No login, no learning curve — just a calm screen that answers kindly.

The main carer

Sets the family up, registers the screen, invites others, and keeps the calendar and voice just right.

Family & friends

Add memories from wherever they are, with their own PIN. The more who join in, the richer the recall.

Other carers

A second family member can share the management — everyone helping, one shared account.

What makes it kind

Designed for calm, dignity and trust

A warm, natural voice

It speaks gently and never patronises. Choose a natural voice that's included, or bring your own premium ElevenLabs voice for something truly special.

Answers in your family's words

It only ever draws on the memories your family added — never the open internet — so what it says is true to your lives, and tagged with who was there.

Knows the week ahead

Connect a read-only family calendar and the companion can gently mention today's visit or this weekend's outing — always in the right tense.

Gentle and safe by design

The companion is guided never to cause distress — it won't blurt out something upsetting, and it answers the same question as kindly the tenth time as the first.

Questions

Things families often ask

Does my loved one need to learn an app?

No. They use one screen — an iPad, tablet or laptop you set up once — and simply talk to it or tap a question. There's no login and nothing to remember.

Who can add memories?

Anyone you invite. Each family member gets their own short PIN and a private link, and adds memories from their own phone in seconds — no account needed.

Is it private?

Yes. Each family's memories are completely separate and private. The companion only ever answers from what your family has added, never from the open internet.

What if they ask something upsetting?

The companion is carefully guided to be gentle — it won't volunteer distressing facts, won't argue, and leans on "the family will know" when it's unsure.

Can two of us manage it?

Yes. A second carer can share the setup and day-to-day management, while one account looks after the billing.

What does it cost?

$79 a year, or $8 a month, for the whole family — however many people add memories. JustAsk is currently in preview, so there's nothing to pay while you try it.
